Kheer is most loved dessert on every festive occasion. Kheer is basically one pot rice pudding with basic ingredients. Today, I am sharing the recipe of “Shadioun wali Kheer”. As this is more creamy and flavourful. In the end , to give a little traditional look i served in Small Clay Bowls.

Instructions
Step 1
In the pot add pre soaked rice, and pour water. Stir and let it boil for 30-40 minutes on medium heat.
Step 2
Once rice is fully boiled, pour whole milk and add cracked cardamom pods. stir and bring to boil.
Step 3
Boil on medium heat for 30 minutes and keep stirring in between.
Step 4
Add powdered milk and keep stirring until milk fully dissolves.
Step 5
When milk reduced by 1/4, blend it well with hand blender. It should be grainy texture.
Step 6
After blending the flame should be very low and keep stirring in a minute or two.
Step 7
Cook for 30 minutes until it start thickening.
Step 8
Add sugar and stir it continuously otherwise starts sticking on bottom quickly.
Step 9
After cooking on low heat for 15 minutes, add khoya and stir it well until fully dissolves.
Step 10
You will see, it becomes very creamy.Now simmer for another 10-12 minutes and stir continuously until thickened.
Step 11
When it starts bubbling slowly , it means kheer is ready to serve. Turn off the heat.
Step 12
Pour in clay bowls immediately for serving. Add edible leaf, crushed coconut, chopped pistachios and almonds.
Step 13
Cool down completely on room temperature and refrigerate for couple of hours before serving.
