Sticky griddled oranges with toasted almonds
Hot, sweet oranges are topped with cooling almond yogurt and crunchy toasted almonds in this light but full-of-flavour breakfast. Stack the orange slices high and feel free to increase the quantity of yogurt, if you like.
EASY TIP If you don’t have almond yogurt available, simple soya or coconut yogurt make excellent alternatives.

Step 1
1 Heat a griddle pan over a medium-high heat.
Step 2
2 Meanwhile, use a pastry brush to sweep both sides of the orange slices with maple syrup. Use tongs to place the orange slices onto the hot griddle pan in batches; cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until slightly charred.
Step 3
3 Carefully remove from the pan and place on serving plates. Sprinkle the almonds onto the sticky griddle pan and toast for 2 minutes until golden.
Step 4
4 Spoon the yogurt over the orange slices, then sprinkle with the toasted almonds.
