A Dutch Apple Pie really brightens up a cold day. So good, and so easy because it's a one-crust pie with a crumb topping. Ready in about 1-1/2 hours-- really!

Instructions
Step 1
(Tip #1: 1-2 tsp of lemon juice will keep your apples from browning.
Tip #2: You can get creative and add golden raisins and nuts too if you wish.)

Mix the dry ingredients.
Step 3
Add the apples and toss to coat well.
Step 4
Mound the apples in the pie shell and dot with butter.
Step 5
Then make the crumb topping -- 1 cup flour, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup butter. Pulse in the food processor till crumbly, then liberally heap it on the apple filling.
Step 6
Bake at 375 degrees until crust is brown and filling bubbles, about 1 hour.
Step 7
Serve warm with ice cream for a real treat!
