Instructions

Step 1
Mince shallot and garlic, set aside. Mince ginger and set aside. Slice green onion and set aside.
Step 2
In a small bowl combine soy sauce, sambal, msg, and sesame oil.
Step 3
Add a small drop of oil to a cold wok and heat on high until just smoking. The wok needs to stay hot throughout this process so work quickly when off heat.
Step 4
Add 2tbsp canola oil and the shallots and garlic. Cook until fragrant (about 15-30 seconds)
Step 5
Add chilled riced and toss until combined. Cook, stiring and tossing occasionally until the rice begins to take on color. (2-4 minutes)
Step 6
Add ginger and soy sauce mixture and toss/stir to combine. Cook until rice is steaming hot. (2-4 minutes)
Step 7
Make a well in the center of the rice and add the eggs. break up the curds and cook the eggs are about halfway done. (2-4 minutes)
Step 8
Mix par-cooked egg into the rice. Add green onions toss/stir until the remaining egg has been cooked through.
Step 9
Serve hot!
