Step 1
Put the rice and water in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat with the lid on for about 15 minutes, until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked. Remove the lid and allow to cool.
Step 2
Pan-fry the cabbage in a splash of sesame oil over a medium-high heat for a few minutes, then add the carrot.
Step 3
Fry for a few more minutes then add the cooled rice, crushed garlic, a splash of soy sauce and a splash more sesame oil. Fry for another 3 minutes and transfer to a plate or bowl.
Step 4
Fry the egg in the pan then place it on top of the rice and finish with a squirt of sriracha.
