Instructions

Step 1
Place chorizo in mixing bowl; chop for 5 sec/speed 6 or until finely chopped.
Step 2
Transfer to a small bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Place garlic, onion and chillies in mixing bowl; chop for 3 sec/ speed
Step 4
Cook for 3 min/steam mode/speed
Step 5
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, sugar and 2 cups (500g) water; cook for 10 min/100°C/speed
Step 6
Add pasta and chopped chorizo; cook for 11 min/100°C/reverse/ stir mode or until pasta is almost al dente and sauce is thickened.
Step 7
Add prawns; cook for 5 min/100°C/reverse/stir mode or until prawns and pasta are just cooked.
Step 8
Season to taste.
Step 9
Serve penne scattered with basil and parmesan.
Step 10
tip Pasta sauce will thicken on standing; to loosen sauce, add a little boiling water.
Step 11
to serve
