Instructions
Step 1
Trim and rinse asparagus. Make sure there are no woody stems.
Step 2
Put one cup of cold water in the Instant Pot. Place asparagus in a steamer basket or on the metal rack. Secure the lid closed and make sure the sealing valve is closed.
Step 3
Set the Instant Pot to steam mode for “0” minutes if using thin asparagus and “1” minute for thicker asparagus.
Step 4
Quickly release the pressure after the steam cycle is finished. (Total time to reach pressure and release it is about 9 minutes.)
Step 5
Serve right away, top with salt, lemon juice and butter. Mix the asparagus with the melted butter and lemon juice so that everything has flavor.
