Ingredients

1yellow onion
large, diced
2carrots
medium, diced
4Garlic Gloves
roughly chopped
1 Tbspginger
roughly chopped
¾ cupHoney Bourbon
1 Tbspsoy sauce
1 Tbsphoisin sauce
½ tspsesame oil
1 Tbspneutral flavored oil
flour
as needed
Montreal steak seasoning
to taste
cayenne pepper
to taste
Chicken bouillon cubes
to taste
garlic powder
to taste
Water
chicken stock or beef stock as needed
red pepper flakes
to taste
1 sprigthyme
1 Tbspunsalted butter
2 Tbspbrown sugar
salt
to taste

Instructions
Step 1
Start off by seasoning your short ribs with these ingredients listed

Step 2
Then add a few sprinkles of flour to coat all sides of the short ribs

Add the oil to an oven safe pot over medium heat , once hot enough add the short ribs one by one , making sure not to overcrowded the pan

Once you’ve brown all the short ribs set them to the side , and add your diced carrots and onions .

After sautéing for 2 min , add the garlic and ginger. Season with salt & pepper TT

Add the butter stir until melted . Add the brown sugar one 1 tbsp at time mixing between each one .

Add the bourbon and stir for a few to cook off the alcohol, then add the soy sauce, hoisin, and sesame oil . Stir followed the red pepper flakes and thyme

Add the short ribs back in and mix until coated nicely add water until it almost covers the short ribs

Step 9
Turn off heat , and place in the oven at 250 for 3 1/2 - 4 hours .
Step 10
Once done , pull a few scoops of the sauce in the pot making sure to get some carrots and onions . Add to a food processor
Step 11
Optional step : add to skillet over low heat and reduced .
