This recipe is highly customizable. Any nuts or grains can be used in any quantity listed, as well as substituting different spices or sweetener. Sometimes I stir in dried cranberries or cherries after the granola has cooled. It is good with milk, yogurt, or by itself!

Step 1
Preheat oven to 250 and put parchment paper on a large baking sheet. In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, seeds, and spices. In a small saucepan over medium low, heat butter and syrup together until butter is melted. Add vanilla and salt. Pour over oat mixture and stir to fully coat. Spread on baking sheet and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, until beginning to brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely before storing in an airtight container at room temperature. Granola will become crunchy as it cools.
