Instructions
Step 1
Add yeast, sugar and warm milk to the kitchen aid bowl. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add the egg and mix with the dough hook. Add salt with the flour and mix.
Step 3
Add the flour into the yeast mixture and mix on slow speed, then turn up the speed a little bit more. Once it pulls off the sides you can put a towel over the bowl and let it proof for 1-2 hours (the longer you proof, the more air bubbles you'll have with the finished product).
Step 4
To proof, you can place the dough in your oven or at room temperature. If you are going to proof in the oven, turn the heat to the lowest setting. Once it heats up, turn off the oven.
Step 5
Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, then cut each part in half. Roll into loaf shapes or balls.
Step 6
Cook in a water bath for about 20-25 minutes. Let cool down and slice.
