Step 1
Whisk together sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Step 2
Fry spam in a pan with the sesame oil (or oil of your choice) until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes per side. Once crispy, add the sauce and cook thr spam in the sauce until it has thickened. Set aside spam and sauce.
Step 3
Remove spam when done and set aside. Crack and scramble the eggs, add to pan and cook. Leave the egg as a big sheet so that they stay nice and soft.
Step 4
Time to build the masubi! Line the empty spam can with saran wrap. Put the rice in the bottom and smush down to form a firm, even layer. Then add egg and put the spam on top. Carefully pull the saran wrap out of the can, making sure you keep its shape. Press the masubi a little bit to help with the integrity, then wrap with the nori. You're all done! Serve with any leftover sauce for dipping.
