🔥 Save this hot & sour soup recipe!
This classic Chinese takeout staple is one of my most requested recipes & it’s super easy to make at home! Full of flavor & different textures that make it so satisfying to eat—spicy, tangy, savory, crunchy, silky, & perfect for soup season!
INGREDIENTS (4 servings):
4 cups chicken broth
3 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
¼ cup woodear mushrooms, sliced
¼ cup bamboo shoots, strips
4 oz firm tofu, strips
½ tsp red chili flakes
¼ tsp white pepper
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
¼ tsp sugar
2 tbs cornstarch
3 tbs water
2 eggs, whisked
2 tbs vinegar
½ tsp sesame oil
1 green onion, sliced
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a pot, add broth, veggies, & seasoning.
2. Mix cornstarch & water to make a slurry.
3. Pour slurry into broth & stir to thicken.
4. Pour in eggs & stir slowly for silky ribbons.
5. Top w/ vinegar, sesame oil, & green onion.
